Student Impact - Building Relationships that Bring Hope and Healing to Students
Student Impact of Westfield, Prevail’s 100 Men Campaign, Westfield Young Life, and Westfield Washington Schools is excited to announce “Chalk the Walk to School: Inspire. Motivate, Encourage”.
“Chalk the Walk to School” will provide a way for students to enter school on the first day with positive messages and reassurance that the community cares for them. “Chalk the Walk” will also highlight the artistic and creative talents of those young and old and bring the community together. Art allows children, as well as adults, to process their world and helps develop problem solving abilities.
The theme is, “Inspire. Motivate. Encourage.”, which coincides with important developmental assets that Student Impact, Prevail, and WWS strive to reinforce.
Chalk the Walk will take place on August 6th from 3pm – 7pm in multiple locations.
• Union Street (500 block) and Hoover Street (by library and WHS/WMS)
Chalk can be picked up for use at Student Impact, 536 North Union Street
• WIS, WMS, WHS school entrances. Chalk provided at each school entrance.
• All Elementary School in Westfield Washington Schools will have specific days to chalk the sidewalks outside of the schools. See PTO pages for specific dates and times.
This FREE event is open to the public. No registration is required. Choose your location (Union and Hoover or any of the WWS schools), grab your chalk, and encourage everyone around you!
