Prevail’s 40th Anniversary Year

Celebrating 40 Years of Hope, Healing & Empowerment

2026 kicks off Prevail’s 40th Anniversary Year. For the last four decades, Prevail has provided free, confidential victim advocacy services to children, teens, adults, and parents. Since the founding, this organization has helped more than 70,000 survivors by providing critical, lifesaving support, efforts that continue to save lives, restore hope, and empower those it serves.

“For 40 years, we’ve stood alongside survivors during their most difficult moments, offering hope and healing when it’s needed most. This milestone is a testament to the strength of our community and the resilience of those we serve” said Tami Wanninger, Executive Director of Prevail. “We are excited to intentionally invite the community to engage with us to learn, to support, to partner, and to stand with survivors in meaningful ways. Whether through education, prevention, advocacy, or philanthropy, there is a place for everyone in this work.”

Empowered Women, Empowering Women

Our “Empowered Women, Empowering Women” campaign celebrates those who are driving meaningful change—mentoring others, supporting survivors, breaking barriers, advocating for their communities, and leading with strength and compassion.

We’re honoring the women who are making a lasting impact on the lives of women and girls in our community. This special recognition will start during International Women’s Month (March 2026)—and we need your help to nominate these remarkable leaders.

Share Your Testimony

We are collecting testimonials to celebrate our impact over the past 40 years. Whether you are a survivor, a supporter, or a community partner, your voice is a vital part of our story.

We are seeking testimonials from:

• Survivors – Anyone who has received services or support from Prevail and would like to share their experience.
• Supporters – Individuals or groups who have contributed time, resources, or funding to support Prevail’s mission. This includes donors, board members, sponsors, event volunteers, former staff, and more
• Community Partners – Organizations that collaborate with Prevail to support survivors. Examples include schools, hospitals, law enforcement, government agencies, and other nonprofits
